The University of Dhaka:
The University of Dhaka is the oldest and largest public university in Bangladesh, once called “Oxford in the East”. Dhaka University (Bangla: University of Vidacabara Research Vidyaka or soon to be known as UBA) is the oldest university in modern Bangladesh. After the partition of India, it became the center of progressive and democratic movements in Pakistan. Its students and teachers played a central role in the rise of Bengali nationalism and the independence of Bangladesh.

The number of students and teachers increased by approximately 37018 and 1992 respectively.

Rajshahi University is the second largest university in the country and the highest seat of education in the Northern region. Rajshahi University was established in 5. Rajshahi University, known as Rajshahi University or RU (Bangla: Rajshahi Bidhari) is a public university which is the second largest university in Bangladesh, Rajshahi, a city in northwest Bangladesh.
It was established in the 5th, then the second university which was established in East Pakistan. The University is ranked third in the Bangladesh University Rankings 2017.
The university’s four departments are divided into ten faculties. Rajshahi University is located on the 75৫৩ acre (5 km 2) campus of Motihar, 3 km (2 miles) from the Rajshahi city center. With 20,7 students and close to 1,000 academic staff, it is one of the largest universities in Bangladesh  Hosting programs in engineering, arts, law, science, agriculture, social sciences, business studies and medical sciences, as well as the university’s higher education institute.

The University of Chittagong (Bangla: Chittagong) is the largest public university in the country in terms of total campus area .But it is the third largest public university in the country. The academic activities of the University were officially started in November 1919. By WebMatrix, the University is ranked number two in the ranking of Bangladesh University.
It was founded in 1966 and opened on November 7, 2006. It is located in the Hathazari suburb of Chittagong. The campus is located 22 km away
